Sam Beard has dedicated his working life to public service. He initiated and chaired programs for each of the last seven Presidents of the United States: Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Bush.

In 1969, Mr. Beard founded the National Development Council, a national non-profit organization dedicated to redeveloping urban and rural low-income communities. He continues to serve as its chair.

In that capacity, he was principal author and editor of Religion, the Missing Dimension of Statecraft (Oxford University Press, 1994), a path-breaking work now going into its tenth printing and second foreign language translation. He also authored Foreign Policy into the 21st Century: The U.S. Leadership Challenge (CSIS, 1996).

Lord Tarsem Singh King

Lord Tarsem King is a British politician in the Labour Party. King served as Councillor of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council from 1979 to 2007 and was deputy mayor from 1982 to 1983.

He was named a life peer in 1999 as Baron King of West Bromwich, of West Bromwich in the County of West Midlands. From 1999 to 2003 he belonged to the committee Member Hybrid Instruments. Since 2006 he is Treasurer of the India Group.


 

Alhaj Mohamed Haniffa Mohamed

Hon. Alhaj M.H. Mohamed has been a Member of Parliament since 1965. At present he is serving as the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs.

During his political career, he has held several ministry posts in Sri Lanka. He began his political career as the Mayor of Colombo in 1960. From 1965 to 1970 he served as the Minister of Labour. In 1977 he was offered the position of Minister of Transport and Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs, and he continued in that position until 1989. He was fortunate to hold the position of Speaker of Parliament of Sri Lanka till 1994, and he became the Minister of Western Region Development in 2002.

H. E. Alfred Moisiu

Former President of Albania (2002–2007)

Alfred Moisiu served as President of Albania from 2002 to 2007, becoming head of state at age 73.
After fighting in the Second World War, Moisiu was educated in Military Engineering degree in Saint Petersburg and Moscow, and received a PhD in Military Sciences in 1979.
Moisiu carried out many duties in the Albanian Armed Forces and served as Minister and later Deputy Minister of Defense in several post-communist administrations
When he was elected President of Albania in 2002, he had to give up his retirement for the third time. His election was a result of an historic agreement and President Moisiu is considered as the most respected Head of the State in Albania.
Moisiu welcomed Father Moon and Mother Moon in Albania in 2005 when he was the President of Albania and later on in 2007 he attended the Summit on Peace in New York at the time of establishment of Abel UN.
President Moisiu is a member of National Peace Council in Albania and has given a great contribution in the work of UPF in Albania.
