Mr. Kevin Quigley

National Peace Corps Association

Kevin F. F. Quigley is president of the National Peace Corps Association, a national membership organization for individuals influenced by the Peace Corps experience. Its mission is to foster peace through service, education, and advocacy. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand.
Quigley's interest is in how non-governmental organizations work together with governments and corporations to address pressing social needs. He has held senior positions in civil society and government. These include:

  • Acting CEO of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation
  • Executive Director of the Global Alliance for Workers and Communities
  • Vice President of Policy and Business at the Asia Society
  • Director of Public Policy at the Pew Charitable Trusts

Quigley holds a Ph.D. in comparative government from Georgetown University, a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a Master’s in Anglo-Irish Studies from University College Dublin. He is adjunct faculty at School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University and the School of Public and International Affairs at George Mason University.
Quigley has been a Woodrow Wilson Fellow, Fulbright Senior Specialist, Guest Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Resident Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and a US-Japan Leadership Fellow at the Keidanren in Tokyo. In addition to being the author of the book For Democracy's Sake, he has published articles in newspapers and magazines on a broad array of international issues.

 

Global Peace Festival 2010

Since 2007, the GPF has grown into a worldwide movement engaging political and spiritual leaders, sports stars, celebrities, and a broad range of partnering organizations. The 2010 Global Peace Festival will provide an international platform to highlight innovative, soft-power responses to conflict in the twenty-first century.

In recognition of the GPF’s investment in peacebuilding, the Hon. Raila Odinga, Prime Minister of Kenya, will act a Patron of the Festival.  Learn more.
