Global Peace Convention 2010: “Conflict Resolution, Peace, and Development”
Political and civil society leaders froom around the world will assemble in Nairobi, Kenya, the economic hub of East Africa, to advance new stretegic approaches to the global problems of religious and ethnic conflict and chronic underdevelopment.
With the patronage of Kenya's President H.E. Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, and a keynote address by 2004 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangarai Maathai, the Global Peace Convention and Festival will advance ongoing peacebuilding and economic development through interfaith and service initiatives, and support for the family as a cornerstone of peace.

Since 2007, the GPF has grown into a worldwide movement engaging political and spiritual leaders, sports stars, celebrities, and a broad range of partnering organizations. The 2010 Global Peace Festival will provide an international platform to highlight innovative, soft-power responses to conflict in the twenty-first century.

Inter-national Young Leaders Summit 2010
Convening in Nairobi on November 18-19 on the theme “Young Leaders in the 21st Century: Prospects & Challenges,” the 2010 International Young Leaders Summit will feature respected world leaders and global entrepreneurs addressing issues of African peacebuilding and development, as well as broader collaborative strategies that support conflict resolution, water resource development, health care, and other priorities in the developing world.
