The collected funds will be channeled to ‘Research and Development International Cambodia’ (RDIC) to purchase and install water collection tanks and ceramic filter systems for clean water supply of the Cambodian people. Nearly 80% of deaths in Cambodia are due to water born illnesses. Naturally-occurring arsenic in the groundwater has caused sickness of epidemic proportions in Cambodia in recent years.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - No one's too young to be a peacemaker. Through collecting donations of 10 sen (a Malaysian coin), Malaysian children have proven that! Within two months, a total of RM 143,730.10 (US$ 40,700) was collected by the united effort of about 500,000 children in this southeast Asian nation.
There are many touching stories behind this campaign. Two young sisters from Muar in southern Malaysia, Amalina (age 14) and Nurul (age 11), went all out to raise donations every day from house to house in their neighborhood. They raised RM130 (US$30) within two weeks. Their mother said: “The Power of 10 Sen campaign provides my daughters a chance to learn and feel empathy for others.”
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - The President of UPF-Malaysia, Tan Sri Zaleha Ismail, has been seeking ways to connect the young people of her country with the world. This led to the "Power of 10 Sen" campaign, which is collecting donations of coins help the children in Gaza.

Keynote address at the Global Peace Festival, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 19, 2008
Salam Sejahtera! Greetings!
It is a great honor and pleasure to be with you today to celebrate a vision of everlasting peace. Your being here this evening in such numbers is a clear sign that the Global Peace Festival is indeed bringing a new breath of hope to a world yearning for an end to the cycle of war, conflict and poverty!
I love Malaysia! Each time I come here, I am deeply impressed at how this nation is becoming a model of interfaith peace and unity, with people of all religions, races and ethnicities living together as neighbors and as brothers and sisters.
Malaysia is truly a nation that loves God. When we visited the Putrajaya Mosque on Friday, I was inspired to learn how the government officials pause their duties daily and especially on Friday to pray at the mosque.
