IBM On Demand Community and Corporate Service Corps
IBM has long been recognized as a leader in corporate social responsibility. IBM’s On Demand Community is a global initiative that seeks to facilitate and encourage employee involvement in communities around the world by providing the tools, unique skills, and resources necessary to craft solutions relevant to local needs. IBM’s Corporate Service Corps (CSC) involves high performance IBM employees in community-driven economic development projects in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.
IBM’s On Demand Community and Corporate Service Corps are strategic allies in forging a multi-sector international service corps by strengthening and expanding GPFF programs and the capacity of its partner organizations around the world. GPFF and IBM have also collaborated in the U.S., Kenya, and the Philippines and developed a work plan for Latin America that includes utilizing IBM’s products such as e-mentor and Reading Companion. By providing skilled volunteers, tools, training, and resources, IBM’s signature outreach projects have the potential to substantially increase GPFF’s program effectiveness, reach, and sustainability.
